I'm thinking of going away and just being by myself for 4 days. I've never done it before and the more I think about it, the more I'm excited by the idea of it.
So far I'm thinking Maine or San Francisco.
Does anyone have any other suggestions? Somewhere pretty and low-key.
what are we pointing at? better question... whose suggestion was this?
I had a lovely time at this year's retreat. Thanks for all the laughs and hugs and prayers and encouraging words. I always leave these things just overflowing with squishy feelings for you guys. :) Here are some of the pictures from Summer Retreat '07.

No, correction... Greg Oh ... FEEELS... it.
Well, I think we always knew that it wasn't his dancing skills that Roger won Christine over with.
Group Pictures!
I'm not sure what I was doing out of frame ... but it must've been really scary...
our team name ... EL AWESOME-O (though Suchan doesn't seem to think so)
Our team pose?... duh... also EL AWESOME-O!
Our sister team THE FUNKTASTIC (dubbed by myself of course.) they were pretty much this miserable the whole time. Really brought the mood down. Thanks a lot guys.
The winning skit team. The trifecta of the ultimate in coolness: El Awesome-O + The Funktastic + Hello Kitty = Hello Funktasmo!
The Big Dogs of Hello Funktasmo: Kathy, El Magnifico and Young Jeezy
Yes, yes, very cute... now give me back my shades Hannah.
What'd you say about my mama, Abe??
And one more so's you don'ts forgets.
What, you wanna be next?
The game Chee Chabo with Eric obbah is the best. I think because there's more at stake when Eric's there to do the wrist-slap punishments. His hands are like bear claws. Bear Claws!
MinHee learned the hard way.
Jason unwinds the next day with golf.
Heroic!
Bonus pics:
I drove Victor up to school at Syracuse. On the way up, we stopped by this roadside dive where you can get 2 dozen clams, a 1 1/2 lb. lobster and a baked potato for $20.98!!! If that weren't enough... the whole place was covered in animal heads. (including a rhino, a giraffe and a scene recreation of a wolf attacking a deer!!)
I didn't know how i felt about being "watched" by a hundred pairs of glass eyes while I ate.
Victor was in Disneyland for as far as he was concerned.
Secretly, I think he was slightly freaked out too.
But no matter, when our delicious, cheap shellfish came all was forgotten.
Thank God we're not Kosher because mm-MM!, them bottom-feeders are some good eatin'!!
I think I'll be updating more often from now on... I think i've been making it a lot more daunting in my head. just like everything else in my life.
YG summer retreat of '07 was El-Awesome. I left feeling all loved and squishy inside. And once again Kathy sunsengnim brought not only the noise, but the funk to the skit contest. Pictures to come!
This bugged me out... Check out these beautiful intelligent foreign students strut their Korean on a talk show. Fellow American, Leslie sounds so good 6 min. into the video, that it makes me embarrassed for my own lack of command of my own language. Where do I sign up for lessons?
As soon as I'm done painting, I'll be posting before and after pics of my new apt. next week. :)
